Welcome to Anniversary Month!

As we step into July, we turn a year older in our journey.  This is not just a celebration of time passed, but a tribute to the collective efforts of every individual who has been a part of our mission to foster sustainable waste management practices and promote environmental stewardship.

Our anniversary month began with a vibrant orientation session on the 6th of July 2024, designed to energize and educate our volunteers. This event was more than just a welcome—it was an opportunity for hands-on learning and interactive problem-solving.

Here’s a closer look at what made this session special. One of the highlights of our orientation was the Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited (BSWML) game. This immersive experience put our volunteers in the driver's seat, allowing them to tackle real-world waste management scenarios. Participants were divided into teams and faced a series of challenges related to waste segregation, recycling, and community engagement. Through this dynamic simulation, volunteers brainstormed innovative solutions and developed strategies to address pressing waste management issues. It was inspiring to see creative ideas emerge as teams worked together to devise practical and impactful solutions. The game not only highlighted the complexities of waste management but also reinforced the importance of teamwork and forward-thinking in our mission to create cleaner, greener communities. Click here to witness the solutions presented by the participants

Plogrun At Ulsoor Lake

On 13th of July, we collaborated with Himalaya Wellness Company for a Plogrun in Ulsoor Lake. This event aimed to raise awareness about the challenges faced by our sanitation workers (Pourakarmikas) who diligently maintain the cleanliness of our city.

We were joined by an enthusiastic group of over 30 participants, including the BBMP Pourakarmikas(Sanitation workers), who came together and were divided into teams to plog in and around Ulsoor lake. In just an hour they had collected 140kgs of dry waste!

The waste collected during the plogruns conducted with various organizations provided us insights into the varying behavioral patterns of people across different areas. The primary goal of these plogruns is to encourage responsible waste disposal practices and to demonstrate how each individual's effort in picking up litter can positively impact our city.

In a particularly interactive segment, Mr. Dutt presented real-world problems and encouraged attendees to brainstorm solutions, showcasing the challenges faced by social entrepreneurs and the power of collective innovative thinking.
